Parkland Animal Clinic is here to treat the dogs and cats of Parkland, FL, and surrounding areas. We pride ourselves on being a Cat-Friendly Practices® accredited clinic, meaning we take extra precautions to keep your cat happy and stress-free. We also practice low-stress handling techniques on all of our patients. We are open six days a week and our services include wellness exams, sick visits, vaccinations, microchipping, health and travel certificates, nutrition and weight management, allergy and dermatology, euthanasia, laser therapy, herbal medicine, X-rays, ultrasound, in-house laboratory, dental, general and advanced surgery including spay and neuter, pain management, and more! DVMMy burning desire to become a veterinarian took me to the Philippines to earn my Veterinary Degree in 1982. My dreams to become a veterinarian started when I was very young. It is the essence of who I am. My passion to care for animals is as strong as ever, even after 30 years of practice. I love what I do, and it’s why I do it. I opened Parkland Animal Clinic & Big Bear Pet Lodge for a reason. I wanted to continue to make a difference. Treating pets like family who’s needs are as different as yours and mine. It is my belief is that every pet deserves to be treated and cared for that way. I have 2 sons, Zachary and Mason. I have lived in Parkland since 2000.

Marius Vasilescu
DVMDr. Marius Oliver Vasilescu (Dr. V) is the newest addition to the well-established Parkland Animal Clinic. After receiving his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, Masters degree, and Ph.D. degree in his home country of Romania, he moved to Canada and spent the following years completing a Surgical Internship at Canada West Veterinary Specialists. During this time, he also worked in emergency and specialty centers and general practice facilities. For the last three years, Dr. V served as the Medical Director of the Regional Animal Protection Society in Richmond, BC, as well as the Medical Consultant for Pets & Pickers, a veterinary reality show. To this day he still supports the continuing education of these teams. Dr. Vasilescu's main interests are soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries, dentistry, and further educating pet parents. A firm believer that "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure," Dr. V provides detailed evaluations of each pet and educates clients about ways to decrease future health risks. Dr. V recently moved to Florida in search of sun, adventure, and fun. While not working to improve the health of the Parkland pets, Dr. V enjoys traveling with his family, dancing Tango, studying martial arts, playing squash, and enjoying plenty of mango in the sunshine state!
